CarnalNation to Auction ToolBox to Fight AIDS

SAN FRANCISCO — CarnalNation.com has put together a custom “tool box” led with sex toys specifically for men, for an auction to benefit the Stop AIDS Project.

According to the company, the ToolBox’s retail value is more than $1,000. The collection of adult toys for men features two that have not yet been released in the U.S.

“The CarnalNation ToolBox demonstrates a commitment to sexual pleasure but also to new possibilities for practicing safer sex,” CarnalNation CEO and Publisher John Pettitt said. “The ToolBox is also our challenge to the designers of pleasure objects around the world to embrace the needs and desires of men. It is also a challenge to men in general to engage their sexuality in a healthy, pleasurable way. To that end, we offer this ToolBox in the hope of making a positive impact on the community.”

The ToolBox contains toys from Aneros, Good Vibrations, Tantus, Tenga, Screaming O and LELO. It also contacts gay movies from Cleis Press and a membership to the newly revamped Lavender Lounge. Mickey’s Monkey, a San Francisco supplier of vintage furnishings, provided the black-and-gold case containing the items.

The CarnalNation ToolBox will be auctioned off on Friday at the Queens Are Wild! event in San Francisco. The event is to benefit the Stop AIDS Project aned will feature casino games, dancing and a silent auction.

“The Stop AIDS Project has been a driving force behind safer sex, HIV testing, and education for gay, bi and trans men,” said Dr. Charlie Glickman, education program manager of Good Vibrations. “Plus, they have projects for many different communities of men, offer lots of outreach, sponsor great events and more. Good Vibrations loves working with the Stop AIDS Project and we're always glad to be able to refer our customers to them when they have questions or concerns about HIV.”
